This project started out as a passion project combining one of my favorite books with my interest in the designs found in Indian fabric block printing. Though I didn't end up using printmaking techniques for the final image, I started with a hand-drawn base for the illustration before adding pattern, color, and texture digitally.

Originally intended as a book cover, this illustration found new life when Volume One Magazine in Eau Claire commissioned me to create a cover for their August 2015 issue.
